What Is an Air Source Heat Pump?

An air source heat pump (ASHP) extracts heat from the outside air — even at temperatures as low as −15°C — and uses it to warm your home and provide hot water. It runs on electricity and is three to four times more efficient than a gas boiler: for every 1 unit of electricity used, it produces 3–4 units of heat.
